The seventh administration of the National Quinquennial Survey on Teaching and Assessment Methods in Undergraduate Economics was conducted in Spring 2025. The survey was updated to reflect changes in instruction and assessment methods, including new questions about the use of generative AI and instructor preparation for college-level teaching. Data from the survey have generated several publications and ongoing research projects.

" 'Chalk and Talk’ 30 Years Later: Insights from the Seventh National Survey on Teaching Undergraduate Introductory Economics" (The American Economist)– describes the instructional methods used by undergraduate economics instructors in introductory courses and compares current teaching practices with those reported in the 2020 survey.
"The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Undergraduate Economics Courses” (AEA Papers and Proceedings)– examines undergraduate economics instructors' use of generative AI in their teaching and their stances regarding student use of AI tools to complete assignments.
